With resumes that might as well read as lists of the top national brands, Jacqui Garcia and Matt Stewart are among several hires recently added to the team at &Barr. The Orlando-based marketing agency welcomed six new hires since November 2017, the result of a recent streak of new business wins with brands like Bealls, Florida Virtual School and Merlin Entertainments.
Both Garcia and Stewart will serve as Associate Creative Directors, adding significant, senior-level depth to the award-winning creative team at &Barr led by Creative Director Rob Bloom. Bloom, a seasoned creative leader with his own track record of national brand experience including The Home Depot, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’ Donuts, Brawny, the U.S. Marines, and others, sees the agency’s growth as indicative of a larger trend in the Central Florida market.
“Orlando has all the right components for attracting national brands and top talent,” shared Bloom. “Brands want to work with agencies whose services and expertise fit their unique needs, and we’ve been able to bring creative talent from across the country into the market that make working with a Central Florida-based agency even more appealing.”
Garcia, who is recognized for her work on behalf of national brands like VISA, Marriott, M&Ms, PNC Bank and Wolverine Worldwide, is a familiar face in the Central Florida market. She’s also led and contributed to creative teams with work on behalf of Visit Orlando, Orlando Health, Corkcicle, Camp Boggy Creek and other locally-based brands. Fearless and relentlessly creative, Garcia will lead creative for &Barr accounts Bealls and Florida Virtual School.
Stewart adds experience from The Walt Disney Company, including work for Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Cruise Lines, Disney Sports and Adventure by Disney. In addition, he’s developed iconic advertising campaigns for Nestle, Wal-Mart, Old Spice, PUR Water Filters and more. He returns to Central Florida to bring senior creative leadership to &Barr accounts Merlin Entertainments, Florida Virtual School and others.
“We are thrilled to add Jacqui and Matt to our creative team,” said Bloom. “Their work experience is truly unmatched, especially when combined with the enthusiasm and drive to create amazing work for our clients. The addition of such strong creative talent to our team ensures future growth as we look toward a successful year ahead.”
