We are sizzling with pride about our recent partnership with Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The iconic restaurant brand has been in business for more than 50 years and recently added exclusive pairing dinners to their offerings.

The new dinner series features a carefully selected beverage partner, that varies from wine to spirits to bubbly champagne. Ruth’s Vice President of Culinary Development works directly with the beverage partner to create an original and delicious menu that features paired-to-perfection courses that deliver an exclusive and unforgettable dining experience.

Ruth’s Chris selected us at &Barr to help brand and position the dinner series. We worked with them closely to develop the unique story and character of the dinners, while ensuring a connection to the Ruth’s brand. We wanted guests to feel like they’re part of something new, exciting and exclusive. In addition to developing the name of the series, we created a comprehensive and cohesive design package for the series, as well as a media outreach plan.

Our creative team concepted potential names and themes, one of which resonated with the Ruth’s Chris team. So, without further ado, the chosen name for the series is:

A tastemaker sets the standard and influences what is considered “worthwhile.” Ruth herself was a tastemaker – lovingly known as the “First Lady of Steak.” Our pairing partners are also tastemakers, each setting the standard in their categories, including wine, whiskey and champagne.

And through this exclusive, educational dinner series, not only do guests have an unforgettable evening – they leave as tastemakers themselves.

I KNOW, RIGHT? So. Good.

The first dinner exceeded expectations, and in some markets, additional nights were added to accommodate demand. I had the opportunity to attend the DAOU Vineyards & Winery dinner at the Sand Lake Road location in Orlando and found the pairings fantastic. The flavors melded well and the variety of food and wine was wonderful. One of the things I liked the most about the dinner was having the host speak about the courses. I found it especially valuable to learn about the pairings before trying them since it made the dinner interactive and interesting.

Until next time, “Here’s to you and to us. Those with the passion to follow their dreams, and the courage to live them. Here’s to the tastemakers, one and all.”
